Hi, we are TEMPUS, the test field for automated and connected driving in the urban area of Munich and the surrounding region.
What is TEMPUS about?
We are conducting research in the field of automated and connected driving from various perspectives. Our main motivation is finding ways to make transportation systems of the future more safe and more efficient!
Since 2021, 13 partners from industry, research and administration have been working together on the TEMPUS project. We are setting up a test field in the Munich city area and the surrounding region. The test field will enable us to test and evaluate a wide range of use cases involving automated driving functions and innovative mobility services — for both private and public transport.
The development and operation of the test field is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV).
